Main Gate

The main gate serves as the symbol of Gakushuin Women’s College. This “Iron Gate” was built in 1877 when Gakushuin was opened in Kanda Nishiki-chō. It was designated as a culturally important property by the central government in 1973, and is a 1-minute walk away from the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line’s “Nishi-Waseda Station.”
