Faculty of
Economics
Maintaining a clear grasp on economic trends in Japan and abroad, the Faculty of Economics aims to impart to its students the knowledge, intellectual rigor and judgment ability necessary for them to become effective contributors to the construction of a healthy economic society. The Faculty consists of the Department of Economics and the Department of Management. Both the Economics and Management curricula provide intensive specialist training from the outset. Students complement this specialist knowledge by taking liberal courses that foster broader perspectives and help them become well-rounded individuals. Regularly-held seminars on a wide variety of economics and management topics allows students to broaden their knowledge and interests as much as they desire while surrounded by good teachers and good friends. Students also benefit from career planning assistance provided by the career office and lectures focused on professions in the government and careers as certified public accountants and tax accountants. The Faculty of Economics is located in the Law and Economics Building – a modern structure that allows students and teaching staff to interact, conduct research and study making use of state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.
