TSURUMA, Kazuyuki
Ancient Chinese History

I specialize in the history of the Qin and Han dynasties that first unified China from a dynamic perspective. I especially put weight on fieldwork and have conducted field trips to the tombs of the Qin and Han emperors near Changan, the Loess Plateau, and the lower reaches of the Yellow River, which resulted in a study of the history of the civilization of vast and diverse China. I have also been engaged as a supervisor at Chinese exhibitions held in Japan, such as the Four Great Civilizations Exhibition, the Qin Terracotta Warriors Exhibition, and the Sichuan Civilization Exhibition, in order to share how interesting ancient China is.
