Currently, Gakushuin has exchange agreements with 37 overseas universities in 14 countries. Having begun in 1992, when three students went on exchange visits, the programme is now no longer confined only to exchange study visits but also includes, with the cooperation of our overseas partners, opportunities such as summer study programmes. In addition, Gakushuin now offers courses in Japanese (Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced) for the benefit of both regular exchange students and those who come as part of an exchange study agreement.

The Centre for International Exchange is dedicated to the task of further deepening Gakushuin's links with its overseas partner universities, in order to continue improving the programme.
