| Description of Research | I study literary works and other discourses relating to art to conduct analysis in the context of social history, as well as in relation to the history of ideas. My primary interest is modernist art and related discourses during the period from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. I believe this era, when many new styles appeared one after another and various experiments were conducted that went beyond artistic genres, suggests to us even today the meaning of modern times. |
