I teach the course "Practical studies on film theory." I have a Ph.D. from the University of Paris, and my research focused on the French literature of the 19th century. I have also researched the French New Wave films. My literary works include The Allure of French Film History, Clint Eastwood, and Filmmaker Theories from Rivette to Hawks. I am planning a comprehensive film study involving film history, techniques, artistry, themes, and social history. I also write film commentaries periodically for the Nihon Keizai Shinbun.
