Basic Policies
In all our educational activities, we…
Strive to foster respect for one’s own life and the life of others, and the strength to live with a compassionate heart. We emphasise the importance of an independent and creative attitude to learning, based on the ability to verify and think about things for oneself.
Foster rich human relationships, emphasising a spirit of respect for oneself and others.
Foster attitudes that help to develop better mental and physical health, by making students more enthusiastic about exercise, improving the facilities and quality of school lunches, and promoting a deeper interest and understanding of food with a focus on meal preparation.
Promote education that fosters a spirit of rich humanity and sociability, by inspiring students to be considerate, appreciate the kindness received from others, and maintain a spirit of honesty and compassion, so that wholesome thoughts become wholesome words and actions.
Provide rich lifestyle guidance that emphasizes discipline in daily life, and strive to establish wholesome basic lifestyle habits and enhance norm-consciousness.
Cultivate a sense of belonging to society and the desire to contribute to the international community, through contact with nature and culture, and experiential learning.
Establish a relationship of mutual trust between teachers and children, making a genuine effort to understand children, so that all students can lead a full and lively school life. And promote a wholesome education with the cooperation of students’ families.
To provide an education with a good balance of intellectual, emotional, mental, and physical elements, promote instruction and guidance in all subjects without bias. In addition to homeroom teachers, we employ specialist teachers to guide students in science, music, art, home economics, physical education, English, as well as Japanese, social studies, and arithmetic in higher grades.
We also consider the time and grade of implementation
As part of integrated learning, provide library education to all grades, as well as information technology education from Grade 3 onward.
To teach basic computer operation and proper behavior when using digital devices and the internet (“information ethics”), and to promote the use of information technology in other subjects, provide one tablet to each student, and make available PCs in the audiovisual room for all the students in the class.
Establish English as a subject for all students from Grade 3 onward, to help students improve their communication skills and make them feel that they can participate in shaping international society. For English education, divide each class into two halves to make it easier for students to get used to studying a foreign language by working in smaller groups, and conduct classes with a focus on international exchange.
