Organization and Administration
The staff of the collaborative research project comprises at least two members of the Institute plus guest members. Members of the Institute comprise full-time faculty members of the Faculty of Letters and guest members comprise researchers from outside Gakushuin University nominated by collaborative research project staff representatives and appointed by the Director. In addition, staff representatives can nominate a research assistant from the students enrolled in doctoral courses at the Gakushuin University Graduate School of Humanities. The Chairman of the Steering Committee presides over the council of members and plans collaborative research projects, seminars, lectures, and symposia. Assistants perform general administrative duties for the Research Institute for Humanities, including collaborative research projects.
*The Institute is run separately from the Gakushuin University Graduate School of Humanities. Duties related to graduate school entrance examination courses are the responsibility of the university admissions office. The Graduate School of Humanities is run by the office of the Dean of the Faculty of Letters, and duties related to each graduate course are the responsibility of each graduate school in the Faculty of Letters. |
