Japan is the country where Moomins have more fans than in any other country in the world. Most Japanese know Moomins well, but mostly only through animation. 　There is much more to know!
 This year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tove Jansson, artist, writer and creator of the Moomins. Let us take a look at her life and work.
 Nowadays Finland gets into headlines not only because of the Moomins but also because of its high level of education and social care system. Metal music of Finland has a lot of fans here in Japan, and Finnish films are shown every year and they gather a wide audience. Finnish design has been famous already for some time.
